about us

Responding to the imperatives of our contemporary life, our work targets sustainability, landscape, and design.

To achieve sustainable development is to attain to cohesive community, ecological integrity, and long-term economic strength.

Our projects are defined by the qualities of their sites, by the needs of the client, and by the aspirations of people who will use them.

Memorable place and compelling form are grounded in the unique characters of the site – its ecologies, physiography, and climate; its communities, habitations, use, and cultural development over time; and a project’s economic feasibility, fiscal responsibility, and institutional or community structure or engagement that will ensure its maintenance and life into the future.

Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is inherent in the work that we do.

Collaboration with professionals in other fields, including architects, engineers, planners, community engagement specialists, hydrologists and climate scientists, ecologists, and artists is fundamental to how we work.
