Each project offers the opportunity of a creative design solution. Projects respond to client needs and program, site opportunities, community, technical requirements, and budget. We collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals.
LANDSCAPE

Each project embodies a vision, ecologies, and the creation of memorable place.
In building landscapes: shape spaces, create habitation, build bridges, bring light, celebrate water, give rhythm, tell a story.
SUSTAINABILITY
"Sustainable development is
development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the
ability of future generations to meet their own needs." (Our Common Future 1987)
For sustainable development, the objective is to provide appropriate, innovative, achievable solutions - a project-specific set of measures selected to achieve development requirements.
Many specific performance measures are available – based on municipal high-performance development standards, or third-party “green” building rating systems (such as LEED).
Landscapes produce 12% of GHG emissions. Opportunities exist to reduce emissions and increase the potential to sequester carbon from the atmosphere by enhancing sinks. At a time when climate change, coupled with biodiversity loss, has created a profound, existential planetary emergency, there is an urgent need for the ‘nature-based solutions’ provided by restored and climate positive landscapes.
